The story of Smart Staffing begins like this...
Co-Owners, Cecilia Fiterman-Cook and Mercy Turugh, met as co-workers in 2003. Having both immigrated to the United States, they dreamed of owning their own business. Recognizing an opportunity to work together and provide support to both businesses looking for professionals and professionals looking for the right opportunity, they struck out on their own and created Smart Staffing in 2014.
Starting a new business was scary and exciting! With determination, hard work, faith and a fierce dedication to provide the most support to its customers, Smart Staffing became a success. Within a few years, the company was working with professionals within a diverse set of industries, working to find the best fit for each business culture.
Today, Smart Staffing services the state of New York, its core business in the Mid-Hudson Valley area. With plans for the company to begin its expansion into new areas and its restructuring in the areas of talent management and development to better serve its customers, the sky is the limit for these two talented women!
